About My Mochi Clones
My Mochi, also known as Mochi Gelato or Gelato 47, is a refined cultivar born from two modern West Coast classics, Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies. The result is a balanced, dessert forward profile that captures the sweet, creamy indulgence of its namesake while maintaining the dense resin production and colorful expression characteristic of the Gelato family. This cut came from Sonoma and was tested and cleaned in 2023.
Visually, Mochi produces tight, jewel toned flowers often displaying hues of lavender, rose, and mint green, blanketed in a heavy coat of glistening trichomes. Its aroma is both decadent and complex, opening with sweet cream and vanilla sugar before deepening into notes of forest mint, dough, and faint citrus rind.
On the palate, Mochi delivers a rich and creamy experience reminiscent of mochi ice cream, smooth layers of berry gelato, vanilla bean, and powdered sugar give way to a subtle coolness of menthol and pine. The exhale leaves a lingering sweetness with hints of cookie dough and sherbet, creating a soft, almost confectionary finish.
